competition: 1st prize
The Architecture Foundation called for ideas and visions for the future of London as part of the London Architecture Biennale 2004. The proposal investigates the bicycle as a means of transport in the metropolis and visualises the potential impact this would have for the ‘image’ of London.
Richard Rodgers, the Chief Advisor of London’s Mayor at the time, and head of jury said about the winning entry:
“…a very clear message, the aim is correct and quite deliverable over the long term, a strong image that hits you immediately, one could imagine being placed on the side of a bus or a billboard.”
